Gabriela Cano Unprofessional, Liar, Fake, Untrustworthy Playa del Carmen
Do not sign a contract with Gabriela Cano, you cannot trust this woman. Gabriela Cano works for Mosquito Real Estate in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We rented a house from Gabriela, and a few months later we received a $1000 water bill!!! The underground water tank outside of the house had obviously not been maintained nor serviced in years and had a number of cracks which were causing water to leak out underground.
This was just one of a number of problems that cost us a lot of additional money which all could have been avoided if Gabriela Cano of Mosquito had just done her job as property manager and maintained the property or at the very least organized property inspections and maintenance once in a while. Why on earth would you rent a property if you have to fulfil all of the responsibilities of an owner?
Also be very aware of any contract that Gabriela tries to get you to sign, these contracts do not protect your rights in any shape or form, they are illegal contracts designed to protect her ability to not carry out basic responsibilities. I doubt she is even an accredited real estate agent, and if she is then it doesn’t say much for the state of real estate in Playa del Carmen.
