I was contacted by Galaxy Credit on Thursday January 3, 2006 regarding an alleged outstanding payment for an "ESPN the Magazine" subscription which had been renewed in August of 2003. The rep I spoke with told me that because receipt of payment had not been received NR & Associates sent the claim to Galaxy Credit for collection. The outstanding balance was $58 and I was told if I did not pay this amount it would adversely affect my credit rating.

ALL CLAIMS MADE BY GALAXY CREDIT AND NR & ASSOCIATES ARE FRAUDULENT, MANIPULATIVE, MISLEADING, UNETHICAL, AND ILLEGAL!

I contacted "ESPN the Magazine" which informed me that my subscription has been paid in full which I knew prior to Galaxy Credit even contacting me because my subscription has continued uninterrupted for nearly 4 years!

Your name was not just given tto them to be calll out of a hat just think if you had ESPN then it souds like it came from them. That's what they do that is ESPN they sell your name to clearing houses and then the clearing hous sell it to the agent. So you get the call one night to buy the magazines and your ask to pay by phone and you refues to and tell them to send you the bill so they do and you don't pay or forget and there you have it they have recored you saying you owe it. I know first hand because I did it and it was my responsiblty to pay it. These guys don't work for nothing. Just pay the bill and get over it.

If you have not already done so, please file a complaint with the FTC and the Attorney General's offices in AZ and NH. The more complaints filed, the quicker companies like this can be closed down for good.
