Complaint Review: Galina McLaughlin/Galia Balylko/ - Longmont Colorado

July 2006 we bagan contact with Galina McLaughlin to make a 18"-20" portrait doll for us in the likeness of my husband's mother. We saw her work in a Doll Musuem closeby and the owner highly recommended her.

Galina stated at that time she forsaw the completion time to be about 10-12 months. Galina stated this would require regular payments that were comfortable for me within that time frame and to let her know when I'd be sending payments as she doesn't check her PO Box daily and that the balance would need to be paid prior to the doll being delivered.

August 2, 2006 I sent my first check along with a list of 8 questions I had regarding the portrait doll. Galina stated she'd answer those questions within the next few days-I am still waiting for those answers.

When asked for an update once in a while, she answered quite rudely that she never gives updates to customers.

Galina's tone of excitement and enthusiasm for making the doll sure changed after receiving my first check. Well I continued to send regular checks, my last one being May of 2007.

In her email dated May 14, 2007 she states the doll is weeks away from comlpletion. If that was true then we would have the doll by now! Wouldn't we? Draw your own conclusions!

June 2007 Galina said she broke her hand. I was patient and gave her time to heal. Through the months I'd kept in contact via email, that e-mail address even changed. She answered very few of our e-mails. We were not given a phone to contact her by. We never got decent answers as to the true status of our doll.

October 10, 2007 she promised to have "Dolly" to us the first week in December. No doll came and the excuse was family problems around Christmas time. My husband and I can certainly understand that "Life Happens".

Galina if you are listening as I know you aren't responding to our emails, but you do to this Ripoff Report, please be courteous and refund our $4000.00 with interest as stated in our last e-mail or send us our "Dolly", as you have used our money long enough!

Galina you knew how much this project meant to us! You knew we had a deadline for a Dollhouse of our own and this "Dolly" was to be the main attraction for that. My husband and I own a business and we treat our customers with respect and we expect that from every business owner.

If you do business with this woman expect to be treated the same as many of us have. I am sure not all who have problems with getting what they paid for have filed a report!

No Galina we are not lying, no you never sent us the doll. If there was a shipping problem any considerate person would write e-mail and let you know.

If you are sending something worth $4000. I think anyone would get a receipt of delivery. No it was never sent.

She resorts to slander, name calling like a small child, if you confront her and want what you paid for or your money back. She even thinks that she can keep your money like in the case of the woman on the featured report.

I am sure that she thinks she will get away with the same with us but she has a rude awaking coming.

She calls her a Diva, tells her that she is just going to keep her money. I just hope God is sees what is going on! we are sure he will deal with her accordingly.

We have most of the e-mails to and fromher and all of the canceled checks. We Plan to find a lawyer and get our money back. She has not answered any of our e-mails since January of last year

I met her in October of last year in Bellevue, WA.

She is full of excuses and name calling when a new report is submitted. I am sure she will do the same with us. We have never met or done business with a more rude person! Oh I am sorry she is only rude after she got our money! LOL!
