The owner met us with a smile and care. She brought us 2 drinks at once, which were her initiative, so we considered it a compliment from the house . She then suggested us a nice bottle of wine (45 Eur). However, as soon as we ordered the food her attention withered with every second. She didn't give us the cooler, taking away the bottle instead and pouring the wine every now and then, though we would definitely prefer to manage the bottle at our own.
Having ordered the food, we waited longer than you can imagine for the appetizers. Finally, we got what we ordered (at least my bf did, as my appetizer turned from the ordered prosciutto into a mistaken octopus dish, which we accepted anyway). The main course took forever, and as we were casting impatient looks around, the owner came up and offered us to have two small pastas meanwhile, which we took as complimentary again to make up for the long waiting. How wrong we were!
As the bill arrived, we were surprised to find those first glasses of aperitif (10,5 Eur each) and, of course, the two pastas (14,5 Eur each). The grand total made 202 Eur, including a ridiculous 8-Eur bottle of water and even a 4-Eur fee for cover, as if the whole rip-off was not enough for them.
We did have a nice evening, with good wine and average (nothing special) Italian cuisine. It was fine and well-cooked, I don't deny it, but for 200 Eur you expect something more. Add to this the unbearable waiting, the neglect from the staff and the hidden fees, and that's what you get a full of surprises evening with unimpressive food but an impressive bill.
