Garfield Woods Garfield Woods Designs He Ripped Me Off On Designs for My Business Cards Fort Lauderdale Florida
This man desperately approached me offering to design my business cards. He said he would do a better job than Vistaprint so I agreed to give him the project. He promised that he would send me drafts of each design before we sign up on it.
I let him know how I wanted the design to go by sending him a layout that I saw online. The only thing I did when I paid him the money was to let him know that I had changed my logo. He was not too happy about my logo change, I guess a logo change meant he would have to be more creative.
After paying him on that Monday morning I did not hear anything from Garfield until Wednesday when I text him to ask him for an update on my project. This is a man who boasted that he is a graduate of the Art Institute yet he has to take three days to do a mere business card and did not even have to create a logo.
That Wednesday night he told me that he was still "working on it", he did not even provide me with proofs or anything for it. Again he did not stay in contact.
On Saturday morning I intiated a Paypal refund claim at 8 that morning and Garfield all of a sudden appeared out of nowhere with a draft at 1.30 that evening. The draft was simply a copy and paste from my company's website. He admitted to me that at the time he solicit me for my job, other jobs came in and he had to set mine aside. I told him I was no longer interested and he tried to force the design on me refusing to give me back my money.
Garfield has worked with a known design fraud in Ft. Lauderdale whose first name is Calvin. I think he has adopted his techniques and is passing it on to others. I'm now out of my $47 for business cards and do not even have cards to show for it.
