 We spent 14,000.00 on appliances last year and we were told that if we bought 4 GE Café Appliances we would get a 750.00 Visa Card. We sent in the rebate form with all the pertinent information on 8-8-2013 via Certified Mail. After checking several times to see where my rebate was, I was informed that one or more of the model/serial numbers were incorrect and that our file was being referred to the "Escalations Department". I resent all the information again as per their request with a letter and their online statement indicating that our claim was "Invalid" via Certified Mail again! After waiting until April 8th I called again and I was told there was still an issue with model/serial numbers and they were so sorry....and could I take a picture of the serial numbers off each appliance and email it to....."The Escalations Department". On June 18th I finally had it and told them I was going to Escalate this problem myself if something wasn't done. After 35 minutes on the phone with a supervisor he began to ask if I would take pictures again, I responded by I have done that already and ultimately he gave me a new tracking number and said it would be up to 12 weeks until I got my rebate. I told him that it really isn't right to make me wait and be put to the end of the line after I first submitted the request in August 2013. He said there was nothing they could do and I argued there is something you can do...and that didn't he think this was wrong. He apologized and said there was nothing more he could do, he did his best. I told him...I really don't think I would ever buy GE again. Out of 8 appliances we bought, 5 were GE. Both my husband and I believe that they just try to wear you out and hope that you will forget...or just get tired of the hassle. I'm not going to give up on this until I get was we were promised. Be very careful with those rebates and hold these companies accountable.
