Okay I admit that the payment was late. It got lost in the mail. In an attempt to be timely, I tried to pay my car payment on the website by the insistence of the GE customer service rep. I knew this wouldn't work because I tried last year. But I figured maybe things were different. Nope.

I tried to make my payment online, GE Capital called me to tell me that the payment was declined by my bank. I belong to a fairly large "American" bank so I figured they would be able to help. I called them and asked why my online payments to GE Capital had been declined. According to their records, their is no history of request for payment from GE Capital for online payments???? GE Capital tells me their is a problem with the routing number.

In the meantime, the check has made it to GE Capital and payment has been made. The check cleared the bank. I am still getting calls from various CSR's asking when I will make my payment? I try to explain that my check number 1585 has cleared on such date and please take it up with your accounting department.

I based the title of my RIP OFF report on the attitudes of the various CSRs I had to deal with. A percentage of them could not speak proper english, other's appeared to be reading a script and was incapable of following up on where my payment went. The rest seemed to not care about trying to investigate to whom they needed to speak to or what they needed to do to help resolve the issue.

This has went on for the past two weeks. I finally figured out how to get a copy of my cancelled check from my bank's website and faxed it to GE Capital. So I call again today to follow up on the matter and someone finally says that they found the payment.

So now that this fire is out I try to tackle the online payment problem to no avail. They tell me I have to wait for someone to answer my email from the Online payment department and this will not be in the form of a phone call. It is strictly email. I sent am email to the CONTACT US section of their website two days ago and I am still waiting....It ain't even the weekend.

The worst part is having to explain the scenario over and over again.I agree with the rest of you, I'd love for this contract to be up in order to not have to deal with these people.
