GE Capital Cons Cardco ripoff Louisville Kentucky
I was quite surprised that my latest bill from GE Capitol said I had a late payment and gave me a $35 late fee. They also raised my interest from the original low 6% (approximately) to 21.98%!!
I'm lucky I can switch the balance to a legit company with a low interest rate! I have the GE Capitol credit from purchasing kitchen appliances at Brandsmart. At the time, I could have paid cash, but the salesman said I should put most of the price on their credit card. I was led to believe it was a Brandsmart credit card.
The salesman told me if I paid the amount off in a year it would be the same as cash. HA I believe I owe more money now than I did at the beginning! Why is this credit card company still in business?

hey margaret, i understand that what ,u have gone through is very annoying, but i would also call it not a mistake, perhaps u should have taken an extra precaution to knw what kind of promo was running at the str, sometimes it requires a min pay and some proms do not req min pymts.... so always make sure what deal u r getting into, and do not let ur self fall in a trap... things to rember,,,when taking a loan on promos... 1. apr 2. duration(intrest free) 3. if requires a min pymts 4. check if late fees wld assessed, if pymt late, and how much it wld be for ???...so on bottom line...."look b4 you leap" warm regards,
