Your complaints are a bit unwarranted to this company. First off, it is the responsibility of the provider (your doctor) to explain the terms of this program. If they were offering you an interest free period they should have provided you documentation as to what plan you were being placed on. Second, take some responsibility. You completed an application for a line of credit with the expectations that you would repay that debt. The application clearly states that interest charges will be applied if you do not pay the balance in full when the plan expires. Third, you were receiving a monthly statement which also reflects the date and amount of the transaction, the plan you were placed on, when the plan expires, and the amount of interest that has accrued and will apply if the balance is not paid in full. And now you are surprised that they are calling trying to collect a debt. Helllloooo. Would you have been able to be treated should you have not been given the option to use Care Credit? Would you have been able to put it on a major credit and paid interest from day one? Many cardholders don't have the ability to pay the balance in full before the plan expires but they continue to pay the minimum monthly payment even after the interest is applied to remain in good standing. It is consumers like you that have caused credit card companies to tighten their approval standards making it impossible for those that are smart with credit to even get approved for fear that the company is going to get stiffed. To the person that wrote this complaint and to anyone that wishes to use Care Credit or a no interest payment credit card from any other company....pay attention to your monthly statements and read the terms. I have been a cardholder for many years and have never had any issues with this company.

FILE COMPLAINTS WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION AND OFFICE OF THRIFT SUPERVISION - I have seen hundreds of similar complaints all over the internet complaint boards WORLDWIDE! They stop sending statements so they can add the interest on the 0% interest offers as well as late fees - Padding their bills and ripping off their customers!!! GEMB does not respond to valid customer complaints. They only respond and fix it when the complaint comes to them from the Office of Thrift Supervision. Make sure you file complaints with both agencies. FTC compiles complaint data so that all government agencies can see a pattern and the need to act against the company and OTS actually works on your behalf to get the issue resolved.
