I purchased Lasik Surgery for my son on July 1, 2005 .  The cost of the Lasik Surgery was $2,998.00.  I have the receipt for paying $1,998.00 up front.   The remaining balance of $1,000.00 was placed on a new GE Care Credit Account # 6019 1818 3590 4503.  (The only time this account was ever used.).

I paid a minimum of $75.00 - $100 per month (sometimes more) for one year leaving a balance of $00.00  GE Money Bank has continued to bill me for the same $,1000.00 for the past seven years.  I have now over paid this balance by several thousand dollars.  All payments were made by phone.    No purchase except the one time Lasik Surgery were placed on this card.

They ignored all of my letters, requests for an itemized list of all payments received only providing their receipt in a current year.  They use auto attendant customer service to avoid customer contact. Every monthy payment was made by phone, which cost me an addiional $10.00 per month.  A recording would come on asking "do you aree that you owe Cae Credit this amount?"  I would always answer "Absdolutely not.  This is fraud."

GE Money Bank is now claiming that I owe over $1,400.00 on this over paid account.
I repeatedly sent letters of demand requesting their  record of all payments made from July 2005 to the present.  This, but to no avail.  They only send payment information as far back as one year.

I have also repeatedly requested  a refund of the over-paid bill.  I kept paying it so they would not misreport me as late to the credit bureau.  This is in essence blackmail.   In 2009 I went to the MN Atty General for Assistance.  This office contacted Care Credit with a stiff warning.  They continued to bill me and I continued to pay until Jan 2010 when they stopped sending billings.  I stopped paying and continued to demand a refund.  This week they have turned me over to a collection attorney and reported me as delinquent for the past year, claiming I owe $1,400.00.  I am now working through the Office of Thrift Supervision.  Is there a class Action Law suit in place that I can participate in?  How can they perpetuate this level of BLATANT fraud without officers going to  prison?  Why has the government not stepped in?  The internet is riddled with consumer complants of fraud against these pirates.  I would appreciate any assistance you can offer.

I for one have used care credit. They are not thieves. I let them know about this report because being a care credit consumer I was worried. I asked if this how they conduct business. Frankly this is not how they conduct their business. You agree to pay them , while which they in turn pay off your debt to whatever. I spoke with a CS and explained my concerns. She in turn was surprised at what you said. I let them know about your ripoff report. I told them that a company who actually when you pay over, your payment goes down was a good company. They have not ever added anything that I did not agree to. They have never heard of this website but now they do and will be looking into your comments.  If you paid then they will need your bank statements, payments, confirmation ,ect. I never actually contact a company when I hear things on this website but seeing as I am a customer....It did worry me. I called the number and you stated you got no customer service. Yet guess what I spoke to a person. I think these comments are FOS.
