GE Money Bank - Care Credit RUINED MY CREDIT SCORE BECAUSE I NEVER RECEIVED THEIR BILLS Kettering Ohio
I signed up with Care Credit to get some dental work done. The agreement was that I would pay $90 per month interest free for the first year. Not even one month after I had the dental work done, GE was calling and telling me I was overdue on my payment and that interest was attached. GE Money Bank called me using restricted and unknown phone numbers, which were not able to be call-returned. They left no messages. I received no bills until 12/04/08 saying I owed over $500.00 to catch up on my payments, when the original payment plan was $90/month. On one occasion, when I actually answered my phone, I set up a date to pay $90 from my bank account, which they did not retrieve after collecting all of my personal information. They sent no follow-up documentation, nor did they call (the phone calls stopped at this time), and then when I was not aware they had not pulled the 90$ from my bank account, they then sent me to collections and totally ruined my credit, taking my credit score from 700 down to 586!
This has shut me down from using my credit as I am now forced out of my place to live because my landlord went into foreclosure and now I will not even be able to rent from anyone due to my credit score. Merry Christmas to you too GE Money Bank. I hope you can sleep at night.
