They posted fraudulent charges to my JC Penneys account They changed my mailing address so I no longer received any statements- so I could not dispute the fraudulent charges. they made no attempt to collect the debt themselves. At this time the account was sold to a collection agency. No one will tell me what the charges for, no one will tell me why my address was changed without my knowledge or consent No one will tell me why no calls were made to correct the illegal charges and changes to mailing address. This is a card that only sends statements when you actually use the card, Since I did not authorize the charges (approx $100.00 in Jan 08) I had no reason to be looking for a statement from them. What little information I have I got from my credit report and the collection agency. They even gave the collection agency the wrong mailing address. go to www.ftc.gov and learn your rights - and file a formal complaint against them with the Federal Trade Commission. As well as your State Attorney General's office. I also filed a mail fraud complaint - the change they made to my mailing address is considered mail fraud

Anytime I make a payment online, I go back to the website a few days later to make sure my payment was applied.
