GE Money/ Care CareONE False information, run around, easy out answers, no responsibility. El Paso Texas
Today I had my windshield replaced at Elite Auto Glass. I hand the cashier my Car CarONE card and she does not recognize it. She couldn't use my card because they are not a Car CareONE merchant as I was told. After a long call to Car Care I am told that they are sorry. I then tell them its unacceptable because Elite Auto Glass is listed as a merchant on their own website under Auto Glass Specialists. http://www.carcareone.net/CarCareOne/consumerpartners.htmI had to pay out-of-pocket and it was a lot of money to have to part with all of a sudden.
So I get home and jump on the computer to double check myself thinking maybe I've been on the wrong site or something. Not the case as I was right the entire time. Car Care/GE Money told me that the site has not been updated. Elite Auto Glass had never heard of them so they weren't dropped and they've been listed as a merchant for about a year now.
I called Care Care/GE Money back and was told that Car CareONE and GE Money are separate. Ok,understandable maybe, but also said that GE is not responsible for listing the merchants and only handle the billing etc. She then can't give me any info on contacting Care CareONE. However she did give a mailing address in El Paso which belongs to GE. So now I can get the run around, easy-out answers in the mail and have neither Car CareONE or GE Money to take responsibility. Not quite a rip off as they have no money from this purchase but one of the reasons I got the card was based on their website's merchant network which seems to be false. By the way I thank Elite Auto Glass for doing what they could to help me.
