Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have contacted the Attorney Generals office in TX to report this (what I consider consumer fraud by using the same kinds of tricks on the Rip off links below)

I bought a NEC Lap Top and got the Extended Warranty from Circuit City in 1998. The Extended Warranty on the NEC expired on 11/7/02. We reported an issue with the NEC on 10/24/02 described in the attached with the associated incidence/case numbers.

GE Zurich is claiming that a power issue was never documented yet we where told to order and replace the Battery (10/24/02). Subsequent use clearly has shown this issue was not resolved yet GE Zurich claims they can't do anything since the warranty has expired (despite the fact that the issue was reported prior to the warranty expiring and that GE Zurich assured us on 10/24/02 that if we still had problems it would be covered) On 10/24/02 I was called by Shakil from Customer relations in GE Zurich. He told me the NEC warranty expired and a power problem had never been reported.

I know we reported it but unfortunetly there is no way to control or validate what was written on the report by the Tech. When I asked him to speak with his supervisor he told me that he didn't have one. When I asked to speak with a manager he refused to give me a manager. In general he followed the same tactics described in the links below (I strongly suggest you look at them very carefully). I want a qualified tech locally in Chapel Hill, NC to repair this problem with no charge to me.

Today (12/27/02) John from GE Zurich called me claiming he was a manager and basically indicated that the warranty had expired and there was nothing they would do to honor the extended warranty despite the fact the problem had been reported on 10/24/02 prior to it expiring on 11/07/02. He also told me that the power issue had not been documented on any report therefore was a new problem after the warranty had expired (also false). He then told me GE Zurich would not be able to do any more and then hung up on me.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, its paid for!

I see no relevance in the comments regarding the BBB. The BBB was 1 referance source. The Rip Off Reports for GE Zurich was the relavent information with over 30 reports in 30 days. The fact that the comments came from an anonymous source make me wonder if this could simply be from GE Zurich?
