You should get a response from the company or from the atty general's office soon. That will give you an idea of where things stand. When I asked for a specific person, the CSRs wouldn't let me talk to him, either. One guy even took pleasure in letting me know I wasn't going to get to speak to him. Eventually, the man with whom I wanted to speak called me in response to the atty general's letter. The person who reviews the cases and makes suggestions to the "higher ups" is Bill Cunningham. His number is 1-877-512-5278 x4401. Call that number, and you won't have to deal with all those other idiots. Please be prepared to respond when he comes up with an excuse not to help you. Don't let him dodge a bullet. If he does, just add it to your FCC and atty general reports--give you more leverage. Document EVERYTHING!

when I tried to get a refund, first I did not get a response at all to my fax. Then I called and the rep told me that there was nothing on file: nothing came up under my phone number, nothing under my name and even under the register validation number (contract number) nothing came up. I told the guy that someone had probably deleted my information because in April my information still came up under my phone number and I could not believe that even under the contract number nothing came up. So I faxed him the contract. No response. Called again. "No, we can't find anything" Faxed the contract again. Called again. "You have to wait 2 days after you fax something until we can tell you anything" Called again, asked for the guy to whose attention I had faxed it "No, it is against our policy to let you talk to a specific person" Asked to talk to a supervisor or to a manager. "All the supervisors and managers are unavailable". My last step was to forward the whole thing to the attorney general- its a wast of time to talk to these guys.

If you've been scammed by GE Zurich's extended warranty, there is hope. As I stated in my original report, you must be prepared to go the distance. I'm not talking about spending money on an attorney. All it will take to get justice is persistence and a little bit of your time.
I filed complaints with the Dallas Better Business Bureau, the Texas State Attorney General's office and the Federal Trade Commission. I finally got a response when the State Attorney General contacted the company regarding my complaint. When GE Zurich received a letter from the attorney general, they went into fast action.
Today, I was informed that I will receive a full refund for the warranty I purchased from them through Circuit City. Usually, if you simply cancel your warranty, the company will pro-rate your refund. In my case, I have had the warranty for over 2 years and would not have even received half of the initial cost of the warranty. Due to my efforts, however, GE Zurich has agreed to pay me the entire amount of the refund I purchased, minus the sales tax, of course.
I had a choice of receiving a full refund or getting my computer fixed by that ripoff company and keeping my warranty in effect for the remaining 2 years. I chose the former; seeing how they damaged my computer even more than it was when I sent it in, I chose to get my money back.
So, don't just complain about it. Do something about it! Even if you don't get the same outcome as I was fortunate enough to receive, at least you'll be getting the word out to entities that can actually do something about this company's deceptive business practices. Either that, or hire an attorney to file a class-action lawsuit against these vultures. Judging from the number of complaints on this webite, you won't have any problem finding others to join in on the suit.
