Lets take a minute to cool down and use our heads. To me it would seem you had a unit in fair condition when you sent it in. It gets to use and is damaged beyond repair. Now who might have touched the unit from the doorstep of the house and the door step of the service center?UPS? maybe FEDEX? Your issue is with the carrier. We will fix the issue with your computer. Once you get the unit fixed to the proper condition by the carrirer or who ever is involved in the shipping then we have no problems fixing the pc. If your laptop was fixed by Compaq. Then Contact our CR (Consmuer Relations) deparment and let them know. Quite frankly, I think you still may have a debate. You should follow up and we can get you in touch with the carrier of the package and CR can make sure That the service center realizes that you are no responsible for damge on the laptop. Remember, Patience is a life saver. Had you been patient with the service routine, that lots of people go through with us every day and are satified, and followed up with are CR deparment and tried to contact the people who actually have you laptop during shipping your laptop would probably be sitting on you table inb good condition right now. Also remember, The company has a service routine setup with the presence of mind to know that situations such as yours may come up. and there is a protocol to follow. When you try to break protocol for a service that is set in place by a company you start to have problem and even issues with the people providing service. Work from with in the company and with in company guidelines and find a way to get you laptop fixed with in the company guidelines. I say we have not completely denied you. You just can't get service through teh normal methods. If you choose to give up that is your decision. But i think there might be another way for you to get you laptop fixed that is worth looking into.
