I recently purchased a General Electric refrigerator from Anthony's Appliances in Philadelphia on November 16,2006 for 1650.00. The next day the water dispenser was not working and the fruits and vegetables in the crisper drawers were all frozen. I called General Electric to tell them of my problem and was told it was the water filter. Another one was sent which took over a week and then it turned out it was the incorrect filter. Meanwhile food continued to freeze and needed to be thrown out.

I called again and they sent out a repair man which took another week. He did not know what the problem was and needed to call for technical support which is when he was told the refrigerator was missing a seal between the freezer and the refrigerator. They told him the whole back panel would need to be replaced. Since the refrigerator was brand new and already needed to be repaired I of course expected a new refrigerator instead.

I do not think it was fair of General Electric to sell me a broken refrigetaor and then refuse to give me a new one. Anthony's Appliance has also refused to help me in any way. In speaking with the supervisor she told me it had to go through the review board which takes 48 hours. I am told that I have no options except to have it repaired. Now I am left with a brand new broken refigerator which is freezing all my food. Can anyone help me?
