My dead Beat Daddy "George Gale Carey - 1993"
My "dad" has been avoiding me my entire life. My parents were not married when I was born (in Missouri). My mom was 16 when she got pregnant with me, & my "dad" was 21 at the time. As soon as my "dad" found out that my mom was pregnant with me, he disappeared from her life & mine.
In 1997, I met my dad for the first & only time to date. I was 13 years old at the time. That year, I had lost the only father I'd ever known (my brothers father). I suppose I was looking to fill the hole that had been created by the loss, so I urged my mom to try harder to pursue him.

Eventually she found him, & arranged for us to meet around Christmas time. He in no way denied the fact that he is my biological father when we met. In fact, during our meeting, he gave me his phone number, & promised that he was going to send me a Christmas present. He never did. He also promised that he was going to spend time with me, & take me on the road with him in his semi-truck. However, soon after making these promises he changed his phone number & I haven't been in contact with him since.
My mother has had cases filed with the Missouri Division of Child Support Enforcement since the time I was born. However, it has been of no avail. Since turning 18, the job has become mine. It is now my responsibility to find him. I have become aware that I have the right to claim what he owes me. According to Missouri law, I have until I'm 21 to have him served with papers to establish paternity, & file a support order against him.
I received a response from the Missouri Department of Social Services (Division of Child Support Enforcement) on March 1, 2003 confirming that my case has been opened, & asking to allow 6 to 8 weeks for processing. I am writing this on March 2, 2003. I am running out of time. I will be 19 years old on March 22, 2003. That means I have just over 2 years to get something rolling.
I would be greatly appreciative of any legal help concerning my rights in this matter. I would also greatly appreciate any information anyone can provide concerning my fathers personal information, including but not limited to his phone number, property ownership/any other assets, social security # (if that's legal, I'm not sure), & employment information.
In addition, I would like to include that I'm not 100% sure that he actually lives at 902 Ridgemont Street in Round Rock TX. I got the information from www.people-data.com. I searched the country, & found 1 perfect match for his name, month, & year of birth. I then ordered a background check for $10, which is how I obtained the address. I also found him listed under "George Gale Carey, Round Rock TX, age 41" on www.ussearch.com. My father is currently 41 years old.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, & I hope to hear from at least 1 person sometime in the near future. I need all the help I can get.

Chris~ I hope I'm too late and you've already found all the information you are looking for. In case I'm not here it goes: *If he owns his own truck then he possibly has his own authority (allowing him to run state to state) The United States Department of Transportation keeps track of all of this of course and the best way to look it up is by going to http://ai.volpe.dot.gov/SafeStat /SafeStatMain.aspand click on Carrier Detail Results. Then you enter his name and are given results. I did run a check using George Carey and Gale Carey and came up with nothing. When searching for just Carey probably 50 or so results. I did not go through those but many were generic "carey" listing and maybe you could find something there. This site gives all information about a driver including his address and phone number. Social Security numbers are not listed. Keep in mind, even if he does own his own truck he may run under a company's authority but should still be listed under that company's driver's list. I am a female over the road truck driver. Most trucking companies file a employee report with a company called " DAC Services" Their 800 number can be gotten through 1-800-555-1212 information. For a fee, they may be able to provide the name of the most recent trucking company he worked for. If he is already gone, you can ask that trucking company if they know who he went next. Sometimes they know by what other companies called them for a reference. You cannot get a driving job these days without providing 10 years of work history. Good luck!
