Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was originally contacted by George S. May by a salesman that came knocking on my door. He said he will spend three days analyzing my company and will make recommend charges to help improve the company after a three day review. They promised the "consultant" would stay out of my way and not bother my employees etc.

I was told this would cost me $350 but they had a special and would only cost $100. I said okay but was very hesitant, I looked on the internet to to see if there was any negative information about the company and I could not find any, but then I went with my gut and when the guy came into my office the following day told him to leave that we were not interested in the service any longer.

He sat at my office for 2 days bothering my secretary. I finally got into the office two days later and he said he was going to help my company by pointing out it's weeknesses and make a recommendation, I could not get him to leave, I should have called the police and had him escorted off my premises and if anybody find themshelfs in a similar situation don't hesitate to call the police.

After several day I finally got the guys to leave after giving them $3800 in "Cashiers Checks" and signing a lot of paper work that the employees of George S. May type up themshelves about how they did a great job. I believe this is a sort of "con game" and that I got screwed out of a lot of money with nothing in return except a bunch off worthless paper the so called consultant printed off their laptop and portable printers.

I hope the company gives me my money back because I feel that I was pressured into doing things I didn't want to do just to get rid of the guys. If they gave me my money back at least I would be able to say they stand by their work. One thing I know for sure is that I don't want to ever see any of those guys again or I won't hesitate to call the police. They one guy that's the project leader is kind of remided me of a mob boss. He was very stern and serious and looked very threatening. Someone please help me get my money back!

Here is how they use the "LETTER"

Here is a PRIME example of how George S. May International uses the, "letter" of satisfaction they demand in teh agreement to fend off clients that they harm. As reported in the The Topeka Capital-Journal on web page http://www.cjonline.com/stories/122000/bus_sirezras.shtml "Last modified at 1:28 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2000 Restaurant's closing offers harsh lesson By MICHAEL HOOPER The Capital-Journal If you are thinking about opening a restaurant, you may want to consider the experience of Bernard Ezra Williams. On May 23, Williams and his wife, Lori Green, opened Sir Ezra's Steak House at 2833 S.W. Fairlawn Road. They closed it Nov. 30, after being charged $26,000 in fees from an Illinois consulting firm. The restaurant started off with a bang. Its best month was June, hitting $71,000 in revenue. But the new restaurant owners battled high overhead, maintenance bills and a lack of operating capital. "There was nothing wrong with the food; there was nothing wrong with the service -- I just didn't have enough operating capital," Williams said. "If I were to do it over again, I would get an SBA (Small Business Administration) loan right away." Williams, 43, is an accomplished chef who has worked in the restaurant business most of his life. He had been a chef at the Shawnee Country Club, Topeka Steak House, The Vintage and Laribee's Steak House. When Williams heard about the availability of the Fairlawn building last spring, he got excited. He always wanted to own his own business. When he stepped inside the site of the former Fairlawn Cafe, he said he recognized that it needed a lot of cleaning and repair. Williams worked more than 300 hours cleaning the building and fixing equipment to meet city code. A new sign was installed. He hired about 20 employees. The average meal in the former Denny's restaurant building was about $15. The steak house lacked a bar. In June, two consultants from George S. May International Co., of Park Ridge, Ill., came to the restaurant and told Williams they could help him increase sales. "I thought it was going to be a good thing in the beginning," Williams said. "But I didn't learn anymore from them than I already knew." The consultants spent 11 days with him, according to Israel Kushnir, managing director of the company. Williams said he became uncomfortable with the consultants and decided to end the relationship. Two more consultants returned and talked to his wife. "I asked them to leave my property," Williams said. For its consulting services, George S. May International billed Williams more than $26,000. Williams said he paid more than $10,000 to the consulting firm, but the company's collector continues to call him. Kushnir said Williams still owes the company $16,000 because Williams signed notes saying he would pay the money. "Being a cook doesn't make you a manager," Kushnir said. "The reason he hired us is because he needed help being a manager." Kushnir said the company received a letter from Williams that stated he was satisfied with the consultant's services. The same letter also said Williams had to stop using the services because of a lack of funds. Les Streit, director of the Small Business Development Center at Washburn University, said the fees George S. May International charged Williams seemed "astronomical." The small business center provides business counseling for free. The center helps clients write business plans. To reach the Small Business Development Center, call 231-1010, Ext. 1305, and set up an appointment. By nature, Williams said, he has had trouble saying no to people. He wears his heart on his sleeve and trusts people. In business, he said, you have to learn to say no. "You put your heart out there," Williams said, "and you get taken advantage of." Williams said he doesn't regret trying to open his own business. He said he is wiser today from the experience. "I would never feel satisfied if I never gave it a try," he said. "It's a like a ball player in the minor leagues who wants to experience the big league. You never know if you can make it unless you try." He said he is young enough to be able to re-enter the workforce and start over. "I will be back," he said. The building's owner, Kent Lindemuth, of Topeka, couldn't be reached Tuesday. Michael Hooper can be reached at (785) 295-1293 or [email protected]. "

Another trick George uses is to say you must pay for the 1st day and the expenses because you signed an "agreement". They are very careful about mot calling it a contract, because it isn't. Any lawyer in the country will tell you that piece of paper is not worth squat. Just tell them to get out and if they don't leave call the police. I have personally been escorted told this several times. I leave when this happens but people at the office will keeep telling you to go back until you get some money. I starting refusing to go back when I was told this by clients and the office started threatening me. They would tell me I would have to stay there and not get paid until I get the letter they want and collect George's money. They will not sue anyone. If they tell you this crap just call their bluff. They will fold like a house of cards. They are a bunch of punk, used car salesmen, dressed as legitimate businessmen.

Sorry to say your another victim of this company. One of the tricks they use is to let you know they will make you happy, "off the clock". DO NOT DO IT! Off the clock is NOT the same as "FREE". They will still charge you expenses that are inflated at best. What was the name and email address of the sales rep? Can you please post the LETTER they made you sign to get them to depart. You know the one that they wrote stating how happy you are with their services? Another trick they use to make it hard to get your money back. How can you want your money back they have a letter from you about how happy you are with them? SLICK and SICK at the same time! Please search this site for more reports. There are at least 8 reports here that I have read. There are PLENTY on the Italian forums BUT all the dirt on this company gets burried every day by ADs for help wanted or George S May web masters launcing new web pages with mega meta tags designed to burry this and other web sites reporting the scam that is George S May! For some reason all the reports here do not all show up in the searches. Thus search this site for more! VIVA LA RIP OFF REPORT on George S. May
