George Valentine lll Jeweler Jeweler stole my jewelry cleveland, Ohio
I took my jewelry to the "Jewelry Doctor" he repairs, buys and sells jewelry especially gold. His name is George Valentine lll and has a booth in the Market Place, 708 E.185th street, Cleveland, Ohio
I ask him to repair an expensive bracelet for me.
He stalled me when I wanted to pick it up, then 4 days later he said he lost it.
He brought his catolog book to my house and told me to pick out a replacement, I was suspicous, but what could I do?
I choose a bracelet, and he claimed he orderd it the next week.
I still dont have the replacement, and now he dosent answer his phone.
I was told by the Market Place owner, he was doing this to other customers, so why do the Market Place continue to rent a booth to him? They are aware of his shady dealings.
I am so upset, he robbed me, it's been almost 2 months, now I have to come up with court filing fees to press charges. I know I will win, but doubt I will get anything from this crook.
It's a darn shame he's doing this to people who trusted him.

Granted, I don't know exactly what "The Market Place" in Cleveland is, but from the name and your description of a booth, it sounds rather like a flea market.
I agree with Cory above. Why would you take an expensive piece of jewelry to a place like this? I know there MUST be locally owned jewelry stores (not booths) in Cleveland that do in-house repair work. Please, people, take it somewhere reputable. If the mom-and-pop jewelry store on the corner has been there for decades, they're not staying in business by ripping people off.
My suggestion to you? Call the police. If The Market Place is aware of his dealings, I imagine they have a record of his phone number, address, etc. and may even be able to contact other customers who have reported him previously. The police would be interested in hearing about all this, I'm sure. If he gave you some sort of receipt or claim check for your bracelet or for the replacement order, make sure you dig that up too.
