George White Chevrolet-Pontiac Automotive ripoff service department does more harm than good Ames Iowa
It starts out that I call George White Chevrolet to have them tow & fix my car that will not start. They give me the phone number of the towing business that will be towing my car. They neglect to infor me that Im supposed to call these people.
Then after I call the towing company, they arrive and I ask them if they can look at my car, instead of towing it to the 67$ hour labor dealership. Towtruck driver says sure we can do that. I have a message on my machine the next day from the dealership.
I call the dealership to find out why they have my car, and what they have done to it. They inform me it starts right up. I go out to pick up my car, and first thing I notice is a broken driver side mirror. The glass is laying on the floor inside the car. I then start up the car. The muffler is now very loud, where it was originally quite quiet.
I look under the car to see an exploded muffler. Not just a little leak, this baby was blown up. To recap, my car was towed against my wishes to a dealership that did nothing to my car, except explode my muffler and bust my mirror.
Sidenote, my girlfriend also had a chevy truck towed to the same dealership a year earlier, and ended up also with a broken mirror, that the dealership refused to accept responsibility for. I have not contacted their management regarding this problem, as I am extremely upset over this total lack of respect of my personal property.
