Giant Tools Giant Tools limited. Misrepresentation of product information, pricing, and origins. Chatham, Ontario Canada
Giant Tools (AKA Red Maple Power, AKA Giant Industrial Equipment, etc.) has been operating across Canada for at least the better part of two decades. They specialize in door to door/cold call industrial sales. They travel from region to region within Canada and sell their 'surplus' inventory at 'discount' prices to unsuspecting business/farm owners.
They travel city to city in sales 'teams' of approximately 5-15 individuals (usually young men) and are instructed to go door to door in their given 'turf' to solicit money for their product. These young men claim to work in a local/non-local warehouse, and that they do not normally do sales. THIS IS FALSE. They travel in marked and unmarked pick-up trucks alike, with their product directly with them in the back of the truck. They create stories/events (lies) for as to why they're in the area (usually some local trade show they were never at) and as to why their product is so incredibly affordable.
They offer many products that can be found here at http://www.gianttools.ca but predominately sell a specific 'package' out of the back of their pick up trucks. They claim this equipment is top quality and often name brand associated. Their sales books are full of name brand logo's and insignia without any affiliation to the actual companies. This same equipment is claimed to be warrantied and easily looked after. Many people will recognize this as a TAIL LIGHT WARRANTY, as getting an item fixed via warranty is next to impossible and no where near as easy as they describe.
Long story short, this company has misrepresented itself as a large player in the industrial equipment field, as well as the quality and warranty that comes with their product. Several items reported have had shaved off serial numbers and conflicting stickers of identification, and the term knockoff is often used. The equipment itself is unreliable and of poor quality as most of it, if not all of it, is made in China. you will be hard pressed to find a 'Made in China' sticker anywhere as they have been removed, and if you outright ask for its place of origins you will receive a multi-layered, clouded response.
They stay in local hotels/motels and once the surrounding area's potential has been realized they move to another region, very rarely to be heard from again until their next visit. They often operate without proper permits/permission to sell door to door, and often operate in other provinces without regard of inter-provincial due diligence.
The salesmen have been trained to deflect specific questions and to operate under a false sense of urgency, often implying that their 'load' is the last 'load'. They sell a story, not a quality product. Buyer beware.

They have changed their name and are at it again don't get caught call the police if you come in contact with them. They are frauds and cons PRECISION POWER TOOLS IS GIANT TOOLS

She has been working for Giant Tools for some time as a sales representitive which is extremely alarming because she has been linked to many cases of fraud in the past. With Giant Tools she has access to credit card and other personal information. DO NOT let this crook anywhere near your personal information.
