Dear "Customer Relations," Here are some other customer relations issues you might want to address: 1)you have nine other complaints besides this one on this website alone on this web site alson. 2)you have an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB.(and we all know how lenient they are) 3)you are blacklisted on two moving websites. 4)you don't have the cargo insurance required by the DOT to perform household goods moving services.

As a representative of Giant Van Lines, I would like to state Giant Van Lines position in this matter: The above customers contacted our office and were given an estimated cost for a long distance move, the estimate was based on information the customer provided us. The customer agreed to the quote and contracted Giant Van Lines to perform the service. Upon the actual move, there was more property than anticipated and additional services such as packing occurred which in turn increased the cost. After the goods were in our warehouse, packed and ready to be shipped to their destination, the above customers contacted our office and informed us that they will not be able to pay us for the services and informed us of their hardships and lack of money. We did in fact understand and sympathize for the many hardships they stated they were having. To ease some of their burdens we reduced the bill to the original (100%) estimate amount given when they first contacted our company with out pursue of the full amount. In turn the customers indicated that they could not pay any of the cost of the initial estimate and requested that we deliver their goods in TN free of charge. Giant Van Lines cannot afford to send a moving crew and a truck to TN with out covering the company cost of such a trip. In light of this exceptional situation the customers have been given the following options: - Pickup their property from our Maryland warehouse, at no cost. - Have their property returned to the origin at which it was picked up, at no cost. - Store their property in our warehouse storage facility while making payments for the move and when payments are complete, receive delivery of their goods in TN. To this date the customers have made 2 very small payments ($50-$100) toward the cost of their move, and have not contacted our company to discuses their future intentions in this matter. Please take this into consideration: Giant Van Lines packed all of their household goods and incurred the cost, Giant Van Lines paid for all labor cost for this move both in their house and in the warehouse, Giant Van Lines is storing their goods free of charge. The conclusion: Dont go to a restaurant if you cant pay the tab at the end of your meal. Please contact me for any additional information regarding this matter.
