The first thing you need to do is ignore these con men and women. If you have Caller ID use it. If you don't, I would suggest having this feature added to your phone along with voice mail or an answering machine. Keep a log of date and time they call and if they leave a message, record it on a tape player for later use. Your response is what these guys want. Ignore them and they eventually give up or use the other companies I have mentioned above. Please refer to my posting regarding Wolf Law Firm. My issue started with Giove and progressed to Wolf and Suncaost Recovery. These companies are all working in concert trying to extort money from you. They use different names, phone numbers and callers (male & female). Secondly, read Bud Hibbs.com regarding this whole scam. He has an extensive file on these guys and you can see all the little tricks and different names these companies use. If you really are in need of an attorney, he refers you to a national group dealing with this kind of issue. Good luck in dealing with these guys and do not hesitate to file complaints with the NY Bar and Attorney General's Office of Consumer Fraud.
