Glazed Nut Shoppe fired me because I was too young! ripoff Ocala Florida
Well, I began work for this company in March 2007. They knew beforehand that I was 18, had plenty of customer service skills, and that I would do anything I was told to do.
Well, everything was going well, for the three hours that I had been there. Then the manager of the small kiosk called the girl that was training me, his so called "assistant manager" who was 16-17 at the time.
After she had gotten off of the phone, she looked at me and said that Chuck wants to let me go, I asked her why and she proceeded to name off a long list of reasons like that I don't have customer service skills, I don't look like I want to help the customers looking at the candies and fudge. Then it came out. "He thinks you are too young."
She apologized and I told her it was fine, then I was just thinking tonight, wait, isn't that age discrimination? He knew that I was 18 when he hired me, but to say that AFTER he had already hired me, then proceeded to fire me? Is it just an excuse? Or what?

Well, I hate to tell you but that IS just the excuse they gave you for letting you go. You may never know the reason(s) for them letting you go. You seemed to have handled your termination in a fairly professional manner, so you shouldn't have a problem finding another job. Just a note, drop the "well".
