I am the Pickerington author against this moving scamming company and didn't have the energy 2 years ago to pursue further. I had been contacted by the FBI and presented all my information but that is as far as it went. I wanted to know whatever happened to your story and to your pursuit against this horrible company. If there is a class action lawsuit, I would gladly participate. Thanks, Michele

Is it just me, or have several of the last rebuttals been posted by scammers? I guess business must be getting slow, what with people getting educated about their racket now. Time to close shop, open under a new name, and pull in a whole load of new customers, huh?

NEVER DO ANYTHING OVER THE PHONE,YOUR JUST ASKING FOR TROUBLE. HAVE THE COMPANY YOU SELECT COME TO YOUR HOUSE AN VISUALY SEE THE GOODS TO BE SHIPPED. THATS WHERE YOU GET A BINDING CONTRACT FOR YOU AN THE CO.VESUS THE "THE ORDER FOR SERVICE"YOU RECEIVED,READ THE TOP OF THE PAPER WORK YOU HAVE.I BET IT SAYS ORDER FOR SEVICE,NOT "CONTRACT".SORRY DUDE... global moving network which also atlantic moving systems has chande there names to allied moving systems and north american moving network. they still have the same owners thought. they represnt themselves as the major company as you see by there name but jack up the price by at least 300% by the time there done with the job.they charge there customers at the rate of $1.85 per lbs for over weight which they make sure they have. dont be fooled by this company and its new names they will rip u off . and rember both companies are the same so if your getting quotes stay away from them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's really only a small percentage of movers that are sketchy. Plus, if everyone started hiring rental trucks, then they would be harder to get appointments for, and be more expensive, and then we'd all be mad again, but at Ryder and Uhaul. Get some in-home estimates from about 4-5 companies, and after having estimates in writing, research each company meticulously. MovingScam.com and MovingAdvocatesTeam.com have great databases of the bad guys, and message boards where you can call on other people's experience. It's unfortunate that so much care and avoidance has to happen to have a successful move, but trust me, the time is well spent. Good luck!

Christine, I have read alot of these types of things going on with the moving companies. It seems it is commmon practice these days to now demand a payment much higher than the estimate, and to keep your stuff until you pay. So a warning to all those out there: AVOID THE MOVING COMPANIES IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, renting a ryder etc is probably the best way to go. MAKE THESE LOSERS GET A REAL JOB!
