It's all true and then some! My hosting expired and I did not renew on time since my Visa Card was maxed out. That was in October 2005. Then my access to files was blocked and I realized a problem existed.

I contacted the company about the issue and got no response. Then I asked for them to release my domain so I could go to for hosting. By now we are near the end of November. Instead of releasing my domain they charged my Visa Card again and this time I was charged. I called the company, emailed, live chatted, and used the CEO's Name to try and get help. I received one call back that left voice message for me.

You cannot reach anyone at this company direct, except sales. BUYER BEWARE!! I was told they have phone issues and that is why you cannot get through to anyone. Bull! It is the same MO that Mark reported.

During December I tried to get them to release my domain and refund my money. By the time someone acted on it, my domain was picked up by some company in Panama. Probably a subsidary of Globat. It was going to cost me at least $200 to try and repurchase my domain. I went ballistic.

I told them I wanted my files that are still on their server, and a refund of charges. They told me the only thing they will do is host a new domain and if I have the credit card company reverse charges due to unauthorized, they will send it to collections.

Sound familiar? My friend's domain is hosted by Lowest Hosting. Do yourself a favor. Avoid Globat like the plague. I even went to their address in STudio City/Los Angeles. It is a post office box company. The company does not give out it's physical location. Now I get no response from emails, phone messages, or live chat. I am referred back to their phone number which may or may not be working. Go to sales and they just transfer you to the phone tree.

BUYER BEWARE!!

Next stop. Call credit card company for unauthorized or fraudulent charge. Guess I will follow Mark's route and report to Consumer Affairs, Department of Corporations, and the BBB. Wonder if the State Attorney General's OFfice is interested?

Good Luck!
