I responded to a $19.99 per month for 100 channel Dishnetwork promotion. The salesmen said it would be $19.99 per month for 10 months and would go to regular $29.99 per month for 8 more months. I had to sign a 18 month contract with a $250 cancellation fee. I would get a free DVR recorder. I would pay $50 for installation but I would get a $50 credit on my first bill, no problem.

The installer quickly removed my old satellite system and presented the contract. There were no charges for my service, just fees and charges for everything they did. I complained there was nothing on my contract that said what I would pay or get. He pointed to his work order and said thats OK whatever the salesmen told me was correct.

When I got the bill the $50 credit was now a $50 bill. THEY FORGOT TO TELL ME ABOUT THE $15 IN MONTHLY FEES AND I WOULD HAVE TO SEND IN A REBATE FORM TO GET MY $10 A MONTH DISCOUNT AND IF I CANCELED THEY WOULD CHARGE ME A $250 CANCELLATION FEE AND SCREW MY CREDIT. THE 100 CHANNELS ARE 70% MUSIC AND WORTHLESS. I SAID THIS WAS FALSE ADVERTISING AND DECEPTIVE TRADE, AND THE FOURTH SUPERVISOR, WITH A FAKE NAME, SAID SHE DIDN'T LIKE BEING CALLED A LIAR.

SO THE $19.99 PER MONTH WAS NOW $47.00 PER MONTH. SO WATCH OUT FOR THE STUFF THEY FORGET TO TELL YOU ABOUT AND 3 POINT FONT DISCLAIMERS, WHICH MAKE IT ALL LEGAL.

Does GoDish's hosting not have email?

To clarify (because this rebuttal is going to say "Employee" above it), I am an employee of Dish Network, not GoDish.com. I'm surprised the owner of GoDish doesn't even have an email address at GoDish.com, but rather resorts to a Yahoo account. Sounds kinda shady. Anyway, the only way your credit would get "screwed" is if you didn't pay the bill. The agent who disconnected your account would have had to tell you about the fees you'd pay. All of Dish Network's fees are listed in their residential agreement that you should have gotten with the system, and is also located online at (http://www.dishnetwork.com/content/about_us/residential_customer_agreement/index.shtml). As for the programming included in America's Top 100, there are over 70 channels in that package that are NOT just music channels - substantially more than cable, at a lower price than DirecTV. Since you did order your system through GoDish, and not directly from Dish Network, the contract you signed at the time of the installation was probably their contract, not Dish Network's. You agree to Dish's contract by activating your system.
