GoFundMe www.gofundme.com I sustained damage to property during Hurricane Irma. I created campaign on their site. As soon as my sister donated, they closed my account and did not refund her. Internet
I was seeking Hurricane Irma relief. I had a down fence, roof fan ripped off roof, and displaced shingles and down trees. Unfortunately FIMA declined to help. So I sought to start an internet campaign for donations. I signed up on this website. Created my account, story and uploaded picture of damage.
A few weeks go by and no activity. Finally my sister donates money through the campaign, and GoFundMe.com immediately shuts down the campaign. I am unable to log in. They send me email saying they canceled campaign and did not refund the donation. This was a clear scam.
