Hello valued customer. With your hard-earned money in mind I am going to give you some very valuable information on the forementioned company. I do attest that although I have never personally used this company to work in mt home, I have worked for them. These are true situations you may experience.

Imagine that you are in need of an emergency home repair. It can be anything from a no-heat situation to no electricity. You refer to the Yellow Pages to find what may be the most capable company to help you. You come across Gold Medals ad.

You have no lights or shivering because your boiler went. You see the portion of their ad that states 30 minute emergency service and your thinking great this is the help I need. You call and to get assistance it's $150! right off the bat. After booking the appointment you're told you'll receive a follow-up call to let you know they're on their way which you're assuming will be in 30 minutes or so.

I have seen people call three times only to find out they'll be at your home, but only after 30 minutes has long expired. You can't exactly call, cancel and find another company because it IS an emergency and you had to give them your credit card information beforehand just to even book the appointment. You become in jeopary of losing that $150.00.

When it comes to repairs I truly suggest that you call around and get free estimates. They claim to give you up front pricing but that's also not always the case. At least with examining some situations. In regards to leaks and electrical problems you can been charged for a leak search or electrical trouble-shooting with-out even concuring the costs.

A word to the wise, if you have a leak, make sure you find out exactly where it's located if at all posible. They also place their company stickers on all your installed equipment. If the equipment is repaired by anyone but them it voids the warranty, no questions asked.

Last but not least I also wasn't satisfied with their handling of the utility rebates you're suppose to receive for qualifying. Problems that can arise range from them sending the wrong information to them installing the wrong equipment. Not a good thing when your planning on receiving that extra money back.

Unfortunately the ex employee who posted this report is clearly upset with losing his job and is more concerned with slander than the facts. The facts are that Gold Medal strives for 100% customer satisfaction. In fact Gold Medal has an outstanding reputation of satisfactory settling any and all customer complaints, a simple check with the BBB will show no customer complaints unsatisfied. We wish the ex employee good luck.
