GoRenter.com, advertising widely in the Valley, should be approached with caution.  This agent takes on properties sight unseen.

Reports have come in that when renters who rented from an individual were transferred over to GoRenter after signing a lease, they found GoRenter as a Management Company to be completely unresponsive to calls for repair of major problems including violations of city safety inspections.

Problems with gas, electric, water, and other unsafe circumstances were reported and ignored repeatedly by GoRenter as a Management.

According to one renter, GoRenter never visited the property before taking it on or after. GoRenter refused to come out when requested, and refused to fix major problems for a house in danger of being shuttered for safety violations things not apparent to the unsuspecting renter on move-in.

Examples: The kitchen ceiling was falling in due to water leakage from the air conditioning unit.  Water was leaking heavily, the ceiling caving in, and when a repair was finally attempted it was unsatisfactory and incomplete.  The smell left in the kitchen from mold and leakage was uninhabitable.

Next came vanishing hot water.  For weeks there was no hot water, and no repair.

Gas:  An inspector's insistence on repairs to an ancient gas set up was ignored.

Finally, to add insult to all the uninhabitable injury, it turned out this uninspected property, accepted sight unseen, was actually in foreclosure! The tenant was going to be put out one way or another, and keep in mind, in AZ, rent is required even under uninhabitable and deceptive circumstances that violate a tenant's rights and safety.

If you are considering renting a property though GoRenter.com, think again.  Run, don't walk, away.

GoRenter.com is a nightmare  an example of complete irresponsibility and a refusal to care for or respond to tenants and to property needs.

Suggestion:  Google AZ Rental Scams in images, and guess what company's properties show up?  The image above, along with multiple others, shows up in just such a search.

An example of the kind of property owner GoRenter.com eagerly does business with is Marisella Hernandez. Hernandez owns several properties, and was the owner in the property referred to in the left column.

Hernandez first snagged a tenant with deceptive practices, hiding the fact that the house was in foreclosure, and then quickly (and slickly) avoided dealing with the problems that immediately became apparent on a property that had been left in neglect for years by shuffling management off on to GoRenter.com.

Hernandez, an employee of Casino Arizona, refused to be held accountable for the condition of the property, refused to perform necessary and adequate repairs, and took rent while deceiving the tenant and knowing the tenants would be put out on the street due to her practices with the home in foreclosure.

Renters beware:  do not rent from any property owned by Hernandez.

Stay clear of GoRenter.com.

Properties may look alright on the outside, but inside a nightmare awaits.
