Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I received a call at my office, of all places! The "thick-accented" man identified himself and said he was with the Government Grant Association. He told me I was selected to receive a $5000.00 "No-Repay" Government grant. Right away... a red flag went up! So I let him continue talking, as to get some information in order to do just this... ALERT OTHERS!

I kept asking, "Why am I chosen?" He insisted that the US Government is selecting tax payers to receive their share of millions of dollars in grant money. He asked, "Haven't you seen the commercials?" I guess he's referring to the "question mark jacket guy". Please! How stupid do you think I am? Unfortunately, people are naieve enough to fall for scams like this! If you think it's too good to be true... IT IS! If you aren't sure... ASK QUESTIONS!!!!

They usually can't answer them with a "worthy" answer. I flat out told him I didn't believe him. His response was... Mrs "---", I can assure you this phone conversation is being recorded by the FCC. I said, "And...? You can 'tell me' anything you want. That doesn't make it real." He wanted to verify my address... he actually had an old address of mine. (that even scares me a little, but at least it wasn't my current address) I just kept telling him that if he couldn't give me a toll free number to call back to verify, then it was not legit. He never once offered me a phone number.

He assured me that all the government issued legal documents would arrive at my door. In the long run I let him keep talking as to get "the catch". Of course, we all know it's coming. He then proceeds to say, "There will ony be a one time fee to cover shipping and handling of $249.95." I said... now see, this is what I was talking about." He said "But I assure you, you have nothing to worry about. I could see if I tell you, you have to pay today, then you would be concerned but you can give me a date to make payment, any date", he said. I said, "So that means I can pay AFTER I have the information documents in my hand?" (not really having any intention of doing so--Just wanted to hear his response)

HA... Of course he responded with, "Oh no, Mrs ----, the documents will be released once the payment of funds has been varified." He was telling me that I would have to verify the delivery in person with my signature and my social security number or my driver's license number. (which I would have to give to him during the phone conversation so they would have it for the delivery confirmation. WRONG!! (AGAIN... This should create a SERIOUS RED FLAG!)

Obviously this whole big picture was not legitimate from the get-go. Please be alert to phone scams and fraud. Educate yourself on how the government operates regarding these sort of things. AND NEVER EVER give your personal vital information to ANYONE unless YOU initiate the transaction and are 100% aware of who you are dealing with. Let your inner being and intuition speak to you. It's your common sense coming to the surface!
