Rarely responsive when they make a mistake. I was ignored. Once a problem occurs, I suspect they are unable to correct it. Mostly, it is a computer program running their site. Once it fails, customer service (by young men and women) cannot help you. I had to send registered notification of my problem to their legal address as stated in the user agreement. Even then, poof, silence. If you have no experience with the court system, a problem with Govplanet.com, or Ironplanet.com their parent organization, will result in a very time consuming and costly court action. No one really wins in court.

Auction sites must operate under the laws governing auctioneers in the respective states where property is offered. While user agreements restrict users, it is your state that ultimately trumps their agreement once a test occurs. My suggestion, ask your credit card fraud department to place Govplanet on their watch list, ask your own state to examine their ability to auction property within that state's jurisdiction. Ask the Office of the National Guard to evaluate their ability to sell surplus assets, and finally, like me, just ask for a simple solution. I asked for my invoice to be accurately corrected. When I was assured that had happened,

I found my account locked, and was told to call customer support, failure on their part. I wrote 15 more letters to customer support ending in a legal instrument. I again asked that my account simply be reset, yet again silence. The asset I bid, is re-listed, which takes out of the possibility of recovery. So now I have asked the courts to issue a temporary emergency restraining order against the asset sale until adjudicated properly by my local court. Anyway, I doubt they will even answer me or the answer the court, easier for them to ignore. A simple one moment decision would have solved this issue. The thing is, one day, a lawyer from Govplanet will have to stand in court here, and the judge will read the letters, ponder their silence and ask them why did you not solve this problem.

Then, I will get what I want, satisfaction and be be made whole using the value of the asset I bid. You see, if you bid on a truck that goes at auction for a Two- Thousand-Five-Hundred-and-Fifty-Dollars ($2,250.00) well if you were lucky in bidding and that truck is worth more, you can sue for the difference since they violated their obligation. Like someone stealing from you. This will go on for a long time now, legal action actually having commenced, so please look forward to reading the letters, their responses and legal instruments. Maybe it will help others, before they just give up due to the silence. Ongoing......
