My ex husband clicked on this on the internet March 22, 2006. You have no way of knowing this charge will remain until you close the checking account you give. I have contacted them numerous times after hours of searching for a phone number and they give a confirmation number saying the account you create by clicking yes to a Book and cd will be charged every month thereafter will now be closed.

They are so courteous on the phone you really think they are going to quit charging and close the account BUT He now has paid 29.95 for the book he never got and 7.95 for the cd he never got for 16 months. The bank will not reverse or stop the charge.

So $606.40 dollars later, he has to stop his direct deposit, cancel his credit card and close his account to get the charge off. It is the perfect internet scam. All you need is 100 people a month to fall for this and you have $3790 a month in income minus the cost of the website, WOW what a profit. And you dont have to have a phone number, address or anything to give to the bank for this charge to apppear each month, its not their money, they just keep giving and giving( well atleast Suntrust Bank does).

It is partly his fault by not looking at his bank account closer to realize when this first started. He didnt notice until he was overdrawn from it that they had been charging this but the bank even when it was brought to their attention continues to allow Grant Search Assistant charge when they give no address, no phone number, no website address to get back to them when you credit card keeps getting charged.

BEWARE of any site that you give your credit card for anything. You have no way of stopping future charges once you give out your number. Grant Search Assistant is a ripoff. You can get the same info they are supposed to give but you never receive for FREE at whitehouse.gov (Government Grants)

After my bank, SUNTRUST refused to take the charges off that have now month after month and visit after visit to the branch, I finally had to cancel card # and close acct to get charges off. Grant Search Assistant has been so nice to agree to cancel the account and give me confirmation numbers every month and then turn around and charge me again and again. Shame on them and on my bank Suntrust. They are both losers in my eyes but I am the biggest loser at over 600 dollars before I realized he was being charged this every month since march of last year. I started trying to get this off in January of this year. Six months later they charged me again. Dont think this is taken care of......you did not succeed until YOU CLOSE THE ACCOUNT if you are with Suntrust. They continue to let this scam happen. I hope the employees of grant search assistant enjoy their jobs....ripping people off for their own personal gain! I can say I might bee $600 lighter but I atleast know what I do for a living is HONEST!
