I worked there for 8-9 months and I can without a doubt say it was the worst job ever. The coworkers were only ever concerned with gossip. The "management" came and went as they pleased. You were constantly talked about behind your back or treated like a slave. The pay is better delivering pizzas. The schedule made it impossible to have any sort of personal life and if your kids had an event forget about it, it was almost as if they made it a point for you to work so you had to miss it. Very high employee turnover rate or always short staffed. Worst place anyone could ever work or patron.

i myself speaking as a stylist with tattoos...i dont think it is right to be judged as a diff person with tattoos..because i myself have a number of tattoos and think i am a great hairstylist...it is a look that we like and not did in a show of disrespect..some tattoos are meaningful to a person..i was actually going to sign an application for this company..i use to work at smart styles in walmart and had to cover my tattoos with very expensive makeup and was honest with my clients..and they thought it was ridiculous..and i was one of the best hair cutters there..even better than the managers..fixing there cut mistakes..why should we be judged because of our tattoos..the ppl with tattoos may be the best hair stylist/cutters in the building..you never know..so i disagree on the tattoo thingas long as we dress presentable and have great customer service that should not be a problem...

So because someone choose's to have a tattoo makes them white trash? and unable to perform their job? thats how you make it seem, I'm heavily tattooed and I am far from white trash. and guess what!? I am a hair stylist. i agree with the above statement about the tattoos if you are that concerned with how people look rather then perform their jobs. you should do to a higher class place. and i bet to if you ask them if they have any tattoos I bet more then half would say yes. so does that make them white trash to? or not cause it's more expensive?

I must agree with you Donnie! I was employeed with a Great Clips in PA and it was one of the worst career moves I had ever made! Thank the good Lord above I am no longer there and I will never again work for a Great Clips!! A little side note: The employees of Great Clips are required to have you in the chair and back out only in the time frame of 13 to 18 minutes. If you want a good quality hair cut go to Supercuts!! The training they offer their staff is so much more "In the times" than Great Clips. Great Clips training is stuck in the 70's type of hair cuts. I do not work for Supercuts but I have in the past; my worst mistake was to ever leave Supercuts to work for a embarrassing salon such as Great Clips!!!

I have tatts...and they have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with my job performance! And to say that was just ignorance, plain and simple. If you walk into a business and don't like the way the people look, then turn around and go somewhere else. Chances are, if you judge by the way someone looks (where, BTW if you are at a hair salon, you should be worried about how their hair looks and not how many tatts they have) then you should pay an extra $20 and go get your hair cut at a more 'upper-class' salon that will cater to your preferred dress/appearance code....

I am an ex-employee of a las vegas Great Clips. I would like to state that not all Great Clips are owned by one person. Great Clips is a franchized orginazation. With many different owners. I would also like to say that my time at Great Clips was a wonderful experiance. Working with many talented hair stylests. Myself being tattooed I find the coment tattoed trash offencive. Alot of people are tattoed, and that nessasarly doesnt mean we are all trash. I find that I personally am one of the creative many, who likes to express myself in many ways. If you open up and understand that you might get a better hair cut from some one who has tatto's, because that person probably is more in touch with their creativity. I however canot excuse a hair stylest working, and using drugs. I have seen it many times, at other salons, and it is difficult to say that I would let them cut on my hair.
