In January 2014, I purchased a shower tower from this company. They notified me that the unit was no longer available (even though it was still displayed on their website) and offered another unit they said was comparable. I did not like the alternate unit which I thought was inferior, and asked for my money back.
Their receipt does state "we do not allow any cancellations, returns, exchanges, or refunds" and "Any cancellation is at the discretion of Great Sports Inc." Also they say if they allow a refund, it "will incur a 30% cancellation fee and all transit costs to be paid by the purchaser."
On an almost $600 purchase, I would gladly pay the fees, but I did not get that opportunity. Instead, I was told on several occasions I would get my money back, both verbally on the phone and through emails. This as yet has not happened.
I was given several different methods of resolving this issue by Saferwholesale, including writing to specific people at their company, phone calls to others. All resulted in a simple time delaying tactic of runarounds.
Even when I contacted an attorney I was advised these types of transactions were nearly impossible to resolve and was advised by him to file a complaint with my state attorney’s office.
I advise everyone not purchase from these people, but if you do, you should be very careful. There are no guarantees they have the item they are advertising. This, of course, happens all the time with internet purchases, but with this company, you won’t know if your item is out of stock until you’ve paid for it, and by then it’s too late. Your money is gone.
Keep in mind that almost all of the products they sell are imported. I don’t believe anything they sell is domestic. Research the product you want to buy. You can probably find it somewhere else for the same price or better.
