Donny you wrote: It was 15 bucks for the card when the regular ones are like 5 or 10. Okk no problem so I added 100 bucks to the card that day. They took money from my card before I ever got a chance to spend a dime. OK This time was yesterday.I added $ 55.00 and was going to pay my 35$ car insurance for this month. might i add getting the 55 on the card was actually 59.95$ because of the adding fee. Does that mean you purchased the GreenDot card for $15 and then you added $100 to the card? The card actually costs you $14.90 in fees before you purchased any merchandise or services with the card. According to GreenDot's fee schedule: Activation Suggested Retail Price $9.95 Reload - at a Retailer with MoneyPak or swipe Suggested Retail Price $4.95 or Less Login into your Greendot account to see the transaction history. greendotonline.com/contents/Products.aspx#Fees_English If you have a checking account, why not use your checking account's debit card? I use my Bank of America Platinum Check Card (debit card with Visa symbol) everywhere for restaurants, groceries and gasoline purchases. My debit card is good for up to $3,500 in one purchase meaning I can buy up to $3,500 provided I have $3,500 or more in my checking account. I have never been charged a fee for use of my Check Card.
