Green Dot Corporation Prepaid Visa Green Dot stole my money. They debited two different amounts for reloads funded by my bank debit card but did not credit those amounts to my Green Dot card balance. Monrovia, California
I reloaded my Green Dot prepaid Visa card through my bank debit card on two different occasions. The amounts were deducted from my bank account but were not credited to my Green Dot card balance. Green Dot says they show no record of those two "re-loads", however, my bank print-out clearly shows that the amounts were taken out of my checking account and send to Green Dot Corporation. Consumers can absolutely forget trying to get anything resolved with this corporation. All customer service reps read from a script and what they read has absolutely nothing to do with my situation. Just standard script jibber-jabber with information that in no way is related to my problem. I have also filed a complaint, along with thousands of others, with the BBB regarding Green Dot Corporation. Their "theft" history is long-documented with thousands and thousands and thousands of complaints extremely similar or exactly like mine. I only got a Green Dot Prepaid Visa for an international trip that I am going to be taking. This was a huge mistake and I have spent four weeks trying to recover my funds and have them reversed back to my bank. Green Dot says the problem is they show no record of those transactions. It has been a nightmare but I will not rest until my "mysteriously missing" funds are returned back to my bank account. I had read thousands of complaints against Green Dot but I foolishly decided to give this card a try anyway. It is my first experience with a prepaid card. Never never again. I only warn all in the future who are considering this company to steer clear. You will never get any resolution to problems when they arise...and I assure you they WILL arise. Green Dot Corporation is a well documented scammer in the prepaid card business.

We apologize for the experience. We would like to assist you with your issue. We suggest you contact our reload partner service directly at 1-888-278-3206. Please have the confirmation number for the reloads available if you have them. Your Green Dot card would be the receiving end on any bank reload, which means that we would not have a way to see the incoming loads if there was an issue. Bank reloads do have certain limits and if there is an issue with the registration or load confirmation, the transaction will not be completed. You can log on to your account on our website www.greendot.com for information on the bank load process.
