So I was told by a friend at work to use Green Dot to deposit my paychecks. Since I'm a member of a FCU (Federal Credit Union) it is hard to come across the specific bank that pertains to me on a daily basis due to my work load and location. My job doesn't do direct deposit so I decided to try Green Dot.

On April 4th, I walked in to the CVS on 147th and Bird Road in Miami, Florida. I asked the cashier on duty for assistance with selecting the right card, but she too was just as confused as I was. So I buy the moneypak, and pay 300 plus the fees of activation. EVERYTHING PAID FOR IN CASH BY THE WAY.

I then tried to activate this card while working on the road. I later realized I had bought the wrong card, and went back to the same CVS on the same day, and spoke to the manager on duty that day. He suggested I buy the Green Dot Visa Prepaid card.

He had explained how the 300 dollar fund I had in my moneypak would carry over into this visa once I activated my visa, and then applied the moneypak pin towards the visa. So I did as he suggested.

I activated the visa card the very next day, and had no problem. I had the $10 minimum on there, so everything was looking good. I then proceeded to the moneypak where my $300 fund was held. To my amazement, when I applied that moneypak code, the operator stated my funds were gone as of that very same date. SAME DATE THAT I JUST REGISTERED MY VISA!!!

All in a matter of minutes!!! So I begin the claim process. Ever since April 4, 2014, I've been dodged and evaded by Green Dot Corp. They claim to have all evidence needed, and advise that I wait the 3-5 business day period for my resoultion. So I waited.

They had claimed to call me to give me my resolution, but never called. So I took matters into my own hands from there on and called. The first time, I was told that I needed more evidence because they never recieved my emails.

LOVELY!!! Me, having plenty of proof and duplicates of the same emails and plentiful attachments on each email sent, I demanded further search in their databases.

After further research, I ended up having to wait yet again another 3 business days. Once the 3 days passed, I called again, eager to see the whereabouts of my money.

I was then told the same thing by another representative as the first time. So at this point I was enraged and I set the representative straight on with the proper information.

Once the representative finally gets the proper info pulled up, he sees that my claim had been closed!!!! According to Green Dot, I failed to comply with the needed proof of evidence within the investigation period.

Funny thing is that I let that time pass specifically BECAUSE i was told to wait those 3-5 business days. So me, enfuriated at this point, demanded to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor then opens up another claim with another whole different ticket number.

She supposedly had attached my existing evidence from my initial claim onto the one she had just opened. I am then told to wait another 3-5 business days. After that wait period, I called yet AGAIN, to find yet another runaround, lame excuse to not give me my money or resolution.

This time, the receipts were not legible enough. MIND YOU, the receipts are over a month old now. So common sense would say that a lot of the ink has worn out, but is still pretty legible. Especially for "such an impressive investigation team" that will zoom into the images, as I was told by another representative.

So I manage to take better pictures of my receipts, as well as go in to the same CVS where I purchased this garbage from. I was told by a "high power" resolution team member by the name of "Cortez" that I can ask for a "journal Receipt", which is a reprint of an old receipt.

So I did what the gentlemen requested, anything to have my hard earned money back of course. But CVS headquarters wont send the receipt until 5-7 business days. So I'm stuck sending the new images I took.

I sent them to the email Cortez provided, and got and email confirmation from him saying he recieved all three emails. So I called today finally, to check up on these children, (seeing as how if you don't check on them, they won't do what they were supposed to like toddlers) and I was told by another team member that Cortez never made a note in the system saying he had recieved my new evidence. (which I was still on time for until tomorrow)

I am then told by the man that I would recieve my call tomorrow at any time during the day with my final resolution. So at that point I sighed with relief.

RELIEF!? GUESS AGAIN! Literally about an hour ago, I recieved a voice mail, but no call. Mind you, my phone has perfect signal with LTE 4G connection. (Top of the line coverage im paying for here) So this call in western pacific time was at 6, which is the time at which the "children" close their offices.

The voice message said that My resolution was... "No Cash Back", followed by a quick bye and click of the phone. Now, what do YOU see wrong here? Well lets see.

First off, the informality. Definitely lacking professionalism. Secondly, their offices close at 6 pm western time, meaning 9 eastern time,so then why did I recieve a random voice message with no actual call after business hours?

Either because they are a disorganized, low quality, thieving company, OR because they don't want me to get in contact with them. Basically it's the same bull!

Never was I at least informed about why my money, WHICH I PAID for to use in my PREPAID CARD, was not going to be paid back to me. So what's the purpose of having a File-a-claim option if you won't ever give back to your customers whom are making you rich?

What good is a company with no sense of comfort or security for the customer, especially when dealing with money? This just proves Green Dot Corp. ISN'T the most reliable.

Because they get richer off of stealing without reason, giving no explanations, and using the "file-a-claim" as a rouge to make customers feel safe, There's only one word for that ladies and gentlemen, and thats FRAUD. False-Advertising is a crime, and here We have Green Dot Corp. up and running with their filthy establishment.

While a hard full-time working, teen student is struggling to pay bills, just got robbed. Wheres the justice?
