Green Tree - Conseco Rip Wolf in Sheep Clothing Birmingham Alabama
My husband bought a house in 1999. We have paid on the house until now. We got behind 2 months and filed bankruptcy in Birmingham. The courts told us to make the rest of our payments to GreenTree. We started making payments the next month. They cashed 2 checks with the same check number electronically off of my account along with my other payments. They then turned around and started harrassing my husband for the amount filed in bankruptcy. When we didn't respond per our attornery, they filed for reprocession in another county where the property is located.
They are so under handed. They did not tell the courts that they are tied up in the courts in Birmingham for the same property. They even sent the summons papers to the address where they knew noone was at to have us miss the court date. We have told them to kiss our a-- because they can have the home. Out of the 10 years that we have paid on the home, there has been no decrease on our loan amount.
Please, please, please warn anyone you know to stay away from them. Make sure they look at who the company really is before signing the papers. My mom warned me about Green Tree but Conseco was who we used.
They are constantly filing bankruptcy when they are sued for the practices they are doing and pass everything along to their other company. When they end up in the same boat, they revert back to Green Tree. They are just scam artist that need to be stopped of taking advantage of the poor and elderly.

If Conseco and Green were not the same, my returned checks wouldn't have both names on them.

Conseco has not been in the mortage business for years. Blaiming them is like blaming Coors for a bad batch of Stroh's beer you bought in 1973...
