This is to inform everyone to stay away from green tree mortgage company. My wife and I purchased a double wide mobile home in 2000. It was new and our financing went through Green Point credit, they were nice enough but then sold our loan to Green Point Credit.

During the last several years, we have been cursed by callers from the mortgage company even when our payment was not yet due. We have been screamed at by supervisors when we did not like how an associate was handling our account. Then we had a storm and it did major damage to our home. We had "FORCED" insurance through Green Point Credit. The adjustor listed the damage as $2,300. We were sent a check made out to us and green point. We signed the check and sent it to them as they asked. We never saw a penny of the money. We had to use their payment to repair roof damage so that we could live in the home. There is still major damage which we cannot afford to repair. We have sent all the documents they have required us to and they still say that's not good enough.

Soon thereafter we recieved forclosure papers from the sherriff stating we were 1 month behind. I called their attorney locally and was given 72 hours to come up with $2,000 or the forclosure would proceed. As I write this I am employed now but since 8/4/6 I was unemployed for a month due to my job ending. Now as a result I'm so far behind that green tree will not work with me. I am being forced into chapter 13 and if my income is not sufficient to do that then I'll lose my home via chapter 7 to to pacify these vultures

I think it's a sorry way to do people. My attorney said he had 18 other cases on his desk where green tree was forclosing on everyone because they lost their shirts during Katrina and all those mortgages they cannot collect on.

So if you seek a mortgage company please stay away from these people they are no better than having the MOB for your lender.
