I happened to come across this complaint while googling greenscape homes and thought I would offer up my experience as it was quite the opposite as the person who purchased the rehabbed home. Since they are no longer in the business of rehabbing homes, I felt that people should have the opinion of someone who owns their newly built homes before making a quick judgement.
I have owned my Greenscape home coming up on 1 year and I have to say that our house is very well built, beautiful, and Greenscape's service orientation and responsiveness has been impeccable. In fact I recently had a minor issue and the project manager happened to be in the area and fixed my problem within 10 minutes of me emailing him mentioning the problem... more importantly, the problem was user error, not theirs, this is only one example of many.
All new homes will have minor hiccups here and there... that is to be expected as the house settles, but I can honestly say that we experienced fewer issues with the house in the 1st year than we anticipated when buying new from any builder. I have and will continue to recommend Greenscape Homes to friends and family... they build a solid home.

Greenscape Homes was briefly involved in rehabbing existing homes, having closed on our final rehab home almost one year ago. We are sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience with your home. To our knowledge, no complaint with regard to any of our Greenscape reconditioned properties has ever been received by our firm. Since this complaint was provided in an anonymous forum we cannot follow up from this posting but should you wish to speak with a member of our Team in regard to your home, please visit our website at www.greenscapehomes.com and provide us with your contact information confidentially within our Contact Us link, and someone will respond to you promptly.
Greenscape Homes shifted our business model back to that of NEW home construction in Early 2011, largely due to the inherent issues that existing homes contain. As Greenscape Homes would purchase existing homes and reasonably recondition them, there is no method to bring an existing home up to NEW Home standards. By definition an existing home is used and although it can be improved from the state in which it was purchased, which was certainly our goal, it is similar to a used car, and can never again be made brand new. Although existing home pricing is often more attractive than their NEW counterparts, the quality throughout is rarely comparable. The frustration our Team felt in not being able to provide a NEW, superior product within this used market is what prompted us to shift our focus back to 100% NEW construction, which allows us to provide our customers with beautiful homes in premier locations including brand NEW mechanicals, appliances, energy efficiency options and more.as we have been doing for over 25 years.
