DEALING WITH GREENWAY VANLINES HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE!!!

Greenway Vanlines services are unethical and unprofessional. STAY AWAY from their low balling, bait and switch quotes, and late delivery. I accurately measured and counted all the articles to be moved and submitted them 72 hours before delivery to make sure that I had an accurate quote. I was quoted $1600 for a move from Florida to Washington State, and was forced into paying 3400 (CHARGED TRIPLE!).

Dave pressured me into an earlier pickup date than my order for service stated. The day of pickup I received 8 phone calls from the driver and they showed up to my house 4 hours earlier than they said they would be there. The driver tried to charge me for an extra flight of stairs and fuel, and would not wrap the furniture stated in the contract. The driver/packers were rude and laughed when I told them I did not have insurance. I called Shawn the rep while the movers were there and told him I was not paying for gas/flight of stairs or signing the contract and he said to sign the contract, the driver can not alter the contract and he will get everything resolved Monday.

The driver did not tell me I would be CHARGED TRIPLE until everything was on the truck at 10pm and then told me corporate would take care of everything Monday. I called Monday to resolve the issue and was totally ignored for 8 business days.

Several articles were missing upon delivery including my desk and 3 large pictures. A large lawn vase and numerous pieces of glassware were broken.

The movers dumped my belongings at the end of the driveway and did not put them in the house. I called the police, but they did not show up until the movers were almost done, and at that time the movers brought a few boxes into the house.

Save yourself from extreme stress and wasting hours chasing for your belongings and put their too good to be true quote in the garbage!

There is no question the company low-balled you on the quote, however there is nothing in their contract that makes the quote binding on anyone. Since they never saw what it is they had to move (since you filled out the paperwork), they would never allowed the quote to be binding. The questions I have are: 1. How many other quotes did you get? 2. How many cubic feet did they indicate your items took in the van? 3. Have you filed a claim for the missing or damaged items? 3. Were they late in delivering your items? I get you were low-balled, but $3,400 seems awful cheap to move from FL to WA, so it really depends on how much stuff you're talking about before we see how badly you were ripped off......Moving is not an inexpensive venture and choosing the cheapest mover can result in you paying much more than you should.
