first off I have to say that I have no problem with the machinery that Greg Smith Equipment sells, it is top notch. My problem is with their customer support. I bought a tire changer with motorcycle wheel adapters. The Co. did not state that the adapters would not work with some motorcycle wheels (very common stock wheels). I did not use the machine until four months after I bought it.

When I found the adapters would not work, I contacted a representative at the Delaware store. I was told that there was a problem with these adapters working with "certian" rims, and that they would exchange a newer type of adapter for the set that I had. After hearing nothing for a few days, I called again and was told I would be called back with a tracking number. No one called. I then received some clamps that were supposed to replace a part on the adapters I already had. They did not work either. That's when I started getting the run around not just from the Delaware store, but two other stores as well. I was told to contact the place (an online store) where I made the purchase. I contacted them and when I called back was told by the representative of Eautotools.com (great company) that when he called this person I was dealing with, he was rather rude and stated "well, does he expect it to fit everything?" I even sent photos showing how the part would not work with the rims (this time Honda) that I was trying to change tires on. Instead of sending replacement adapters that would work with my tire changer and rims, they tried to go the cheap route and see if that would work first. I don't blame them, but that is not what the representative at the Delaware store told me he would do. I was finally contacted again by Eautotools.com and told they could sell me the new part at cost (thank you Eautotools) but that Greg Smith equipment would not honor what they said they would do.

i just want to warn people about this Companies policies. I have read numerous accounts of people being ignored after their money was in Greg Smith's pocket and they had a problem. While I know some folks are rude to customers, I found that this seems to be a Company policy with Greg Smith Equipment. It's simple, if you sell someone a part that doesn't work; replace it. Don't make it look like the customer is always wrong, and honor what you said you would do.

The products i purchased were Atlas brand, offered and supplied by Greg Smith Equipment. Greg Smith Equipment gives the warranty and regardless of who resells them, is the Company that provides replacement parts and customer service. This is why I called them with my problem and this is why they said they would replace the non working parts. all anyone has to do is look around in forums and they will discover that Greg Smith Equipment has the reputation of poor customer support and they believe that the customer is always wrong. They even bullied the resellers that I purchased the Atlas Equipment from; by telling them they could no longer sell Greg Smith Equipment unless the report was completely removed from the Ripoff Report website! I guess they believe acting like thugs will fix their reputation. I was concerned that I would not be able to get the correct parts to get my Alas tire changer working, unless I did some kind of underhanded deal with Ripoff Reports to get Greg Smith Equipments complaints removed. I thank Ripoff Reports for Not removing my report when I asked them to. Very Simply, all you had to do was make one customer satisfied by replacing a non working part and it would have been over, your Company would not even do what your own employees said it would do. I could care a less if I ever get the problem resolved, or the correct part. Now it's here for everyone to see how you use Mafia tactics to try and clear you tarnished name, and even punish good and descent resellers for your own lack of keeping your promise. I will be watching to see what Greg Smith Equipment does to get this strait with the reseller (Eautotools.com) I have no problem telling every forum, biker, mechanic and anyone else who may be looking for machinery of this type about what happened here (and I will).

First and most important: The person who submitted this report is not a customer of our company. How can a person make these disparaging remarks about a company from which they have not purchased any products?

This customer purchased the products described from Eautotools, who is an Internet seller of many brands of automotive equipment. Eautotools buys product from our company through purchase orders. Our company ships our product to customers of Eautotools from our warehouses. We have no contact with customers of Eautotools, so we have no idea how any of our products are being used.

We offer several types of tire changer adapters. Unfortunately, there is not one set of adapters that will work perfectly with the each of the hundreds of different motorcycle and ATV rims that are in the marketplace. We have no idea what was discussed between the customer and Eautotools when the customer purchased his equipment from Eautotools.

Why would the customer call our company about products that he purchased from Eautotools and expect our company to satisfy his additional requirements and send him additional tire changer adapter sets for free? Eautotools is our customer and we will work with resellers such as Eautotools to resolve issues with their customer.

We have a motorcycle adapter set that will solve the issues presented by this customer, but this additional set of adapters was not purchased by Eautotools.

We have sold thousands of tire changers and motorcycle adapters during our 30 years in business and our professionals will work with any customer BEFORE the purchase to prevent the type of issues described by the person writing this report.

We respectively ask this person to remove this report which is libelous to our company as this person has not done any business with our company and has no direct knowledge as to how we do business with our customers.
