Complaint Review: Greystar/Saratoga Ridge - Phoenix Arizona

I've made my point...I 've spoken to many officials in authority, I do not need to keep responding to someone that cannot read or comprehend the understanding of the entirety of the situation. I would not post anything of this nature. if I didn't have backing. I am one to seek counsel to ensure my views are not out of line and hasty. I have plenty of confirmation that what was done, was not justified.  I waited to post this to make sure my point was more than valid...Either way, there are bigger issues at stake with Greystar, like the pool gates that do not lock, among other safety issues. If anything, I am assisting in preventing a tragedy and a lawsuit ;God forbid, a small child gets in the unlocked gate and drowns.

 The "I don't have anything to say so I am just going to accuse you of working for the company".  Well sorry but that it SOP around this site, and the only thing it shows you is how silly that claim makes you look.

First just about EVERY apartment complex has parking rules.  These rules include where you can and can not park.  They also include the "driveability" of the car.   As I stated before..had you not told the apartment complex that your car wasn't driveable..you could have had a very good case that it was an invalid tow.

Now, you stated your complex was having resurfacing work done.  You also stated you moved your car on June 20th, but did not move it again until the 26th when you moved it to another(but not your assigned) spot.  Well resurfacing takes 1 possibly 2 days, and according to your report you left it in one spot for close to a week, and another spot for 4 days(before it was towed). 

Did you also read the part where the car had all the parts in tact before the towing company decided to tag it as " abandoned?"

- How do you know?  By your own admission since you didn't have job there was no reason to go look at your car.  It could be very possible that the battery was taken BEFORE it was tagged, and in fact it was tagged because it had been vandalized.

As of June 24th, it was drivable.

- Well you moved it on June 26th and it was towed on July 1st..so what's your point? 

Regardless of the " color coding"for the construction; which was very confusing to other residents at Saratoga, what they did was inexcusable.

- So just how many other cars were tagged as abandoned and towed?  Let me guess they were so bad and just trying to make money on the tow they towed..10 other cars..oh it was more..well how about 20..how about 30..perhaps 250 cars.  Or were you in fact the only one?

For one, if you are an associate for Greystar, " way to rebuttal, " Not! Did you reaqd the articel, didn't sound like it in your rebuttal. So, let me get this straight... my car wasn't working for a week and so the proerty management  had the right to take my car? Did you also read the part where the car had all the parts in tact before the towing company decided to tag it as " abandoned?" This was all within three days of tagging my vehicle that they claimed it was vandalized ( battery was taken out). If it had not been moved from my " designed parking spot," it would never have been tagged in the first place and would not have been vandalized. Secondly, I had just lost my job and could not get my car repaired within the week of being told the car shouldn't be driven for long distances.  I am going off what the Phoenix police department told me regarding my claim.  They, the "Phoenix Police" told me they had no right to take my car. As of June 24th, it was drivable.

Regardless of the " color coding"for the construction; which was very confusing to other residents at Saratoga, what they did was inexcusable.  Sounds to me like you work for Greystar and are heartless and empathetic to others and their life situations, just like the rest of their staff.  The leasing staff in general has a bad rap for being rude and having bad customer service.

FYI...Some advice, there are schools out there that will teach you h*o to reply intelligently and effectively to Social Media, check 'em out!  You could probably get more than the $8.00 an hour you are probably making, responding back to a social media posts. No one with an education would have lacked the support given in your rebuttal. Responding with facts, instead of anger, is definitelyjmore effective. Next time, before you respond, read the entirety of the article.

 I have to give you credit.  The "if they only color coded their maps better my car wouldn't have been towed" is perhaps the best excuse I think I have ever heard.

Seriously, they did NOT just randomly tow your vehicle at their discretion. 

- By your own admission you had the vehicle posted on Craigslist because you wanted to sell it.

- It was not driveable for "long" distances(which I guess is anything out on a public street).

- They posted a proper abandandoed vehicle notification that you failed to notice.

You know..you probably would have had a case that your car wasn't abandoned had you not told them that it wasn't driveable from the tow yard.   Because I bet that the same lease you signed for the apartment there is a clause that states that the vehicles must be in "working order"..and sorry but a vehicle that you refuse to drive on public streets and only from one parking place to another is NOT in "working order".
