Grieco Mazda Fraud Delray Beach Florida
On 05/08/16 I baught a used 2007 Dodge Caliber from this dealership. On the front windshield was a oil change service sticker indicateing that the oil had been changed and would expire 3000 miles from time of purchase. The sticker was a Grieco sticker with the name clearly printed on the sticker.
When I went for an oil change after the indicated 3000 miles the service manager reported that there was no way they could change the oil as the drain plug on the oil pan was stripped and the nut was worn smooth so they could not get a wrench on it.
I then took it to the Grieco service department to have them deal with the serious problem. When I arrived the service manager said they would change the oil. When they took the care the service sticker was plainly stuck to the window and I had pointed out that the last service was done at their garage.
After a one and a half hour wait the service representative returned the car to me and said there was no way they can change the oil as the drain plug was destroyed. I looked into the car and the service sticker had been removed. I asked about the service sticker and he denied knowing anything about it.
I was told they would order a new oil pan and we could resolve the problem when it came. Then never ordered the oil pan. I phoned the manager and told him the problem and he never responded. I assume that since the service sticker was my only evidence they had no worries. The used cars usually have new tires and an oil change if needed.
I am astounded at the level of deceit that this dealership is willing to commit to save the price of an oil pan. I of course am outraged and minimally would like others to be aware of the fraudulant practices of this dealership.
