Grossinger Chevrolet RIP OFF Salesman DON HUND SCAM Palatine Illinois
I called Don Hund at Grossinger Cheverolet on February 23, 2008 explained to him I had bad credit and could only afford $100 down and a payment of $150 he said no problemn ran my credit report and said he could get us a car to come in. My husband and I went to see Don Hund couldn't be any nicer said he was busy and had Andrew speak with us said for the payment we were looking for he had to be creative and said that he will give us $900 in cash when the bank pays them for the car and that would take care of the 1st 5 payments and I would only be paying 150.00, the car had a cracked windshield and spoke to Don said that he would fix the windshield but would have to add $16.00 to my monthly payments and when we went to sign the agreement our payments would be $377.09 starting on April 8, 2008. Andrew said when the bank calls tell them that we live with relatives and are not paying rent.
Well that sent a red flag but they gave us the car. Did not hear anything the first week so I called back and spoke to Andrew said that sometimes the bank doesn't call asked him when I would be getting the 900.00 he promised said that when the bank pays them we would get it, asked for it in writing said that its illegal and couldn't do that. well 3 more days went buy not it is 2 weeks, no word. called and spoke to Don Hund said not to worry everything is fine,
well I get a call from Charlie from the financing dept said to come in that all banks have turned me down but he did find one bank and needed me to bring in my phone bill, when I got there Don wouldn't even speak to us, some other salesman did and said that now we needed $3000 down for the car I told them that when I came in the agreement was no money down gave him the keys back and walked out. Please if anyone is reading this don't go to Grossinger they are liars and cheats they are saying anything to get you there and don't honor what they say.
