I signed a Working Service Agreement with GTR with office located in CA and paid $6400 for services and signed a power of attorney for tax filings and resolution with the IRS. I met all requirements and filed all documents requested by GTR providing all data requested. I then received a call advising that my case was being managed by an individual who did not complete my taxes and my case was reassigned. Thye asked for an additional $2,000 to include an additional tax year in the negoiation with the IRS which was paid. I received a letter advising that thier office address had changed to provide better customer which was located in Nevada. I called the new number provided when I received a call from the IRS. The person who answered teh phone stated I would receive an e-mail advising who is handling my case. The IRS advised that the person handling my case advised that he no longer represented me leaving me to handle matters I paid GTR to resolve. Thomas L. Skala was assigned as Power of Attorney who never advised me he was no longer handling my case. Perry Kurtz, GTR Tax Specilaist sent me the work agreement and authorization to pay teh initial $6400. Becky Seavert, Tax Specialist, completetd the tax years requested except 2008. I advised her that I had paid additionally for 2008. She stated it would be handled later. James Rhome received the additional $2000 paid for Tax year 2008 filing. Other persons involved were William Hauser and Heather Hancock. I have a chronological report of events and filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office for consumer fraud, false advertising and failure to execute a signed contract after payment.I filed Forms 2848 and 8821 with GTR and signed the 11 point work agreement. The work agreement has an arbitration clause but offered no instruction to pursue the process via California State Law. The contract was signed on 9/05/08 and communication with GTR stopped when they closed their offices for phone, fax and website in July and August of 2009. There are at least seven other peple who have filed complaints of ripoffs.

The bosses at Guaranteed Tax Relief ARE Thieves!

I was an employee Guaranteed Tax Relief during the period mentioned in the complaint.  I was a strategist, and my job was to analyze the incoming call to make sure that our company could handle their issue successfully and quickly.  Once the paperwork and payment came in.  It was turned over to our legal department and they handled it from that point on. I was then out of the communication loop with the clients.

As this person has explained, Guaranteed Tax Relief did stop working, move their offices, did not pay their employees over $150,000 in salaries and commissions, even absconded with their computer technician's computers, and somehow disappeared off the face of the earth. I personally lost over $5,000 in pay.

When they shut the local office down,  the CEO of the company, Gary Bernstein, who had moved back to Las Vegas, ran for Senator of Nevada.  Luckily, he was defeated.  The complaints against Guaranteed Tax Relief, which will probably grow exponentially, are real and valid. If anyone is able catch them make them pay their evil actions, I commend.  And thank you.
