Guardian Group, Moreland Financial Home Security Rip Off consumer rip-off fraud St Louis Missouri
I purchased a 3-year contract for home monitoring. The salesman assured me all I had to do was pay for the three years no other action needed to be taken. My home had just been broken into and I quickly signed. I paid for three years and moved to another company that was local because the company never seemed to be able to find anyone on my list when my alarm went off.
I e-mailed the company to give notice of my change. The company sent me a notice this was not written notice and that I needed to write to another place. As it turns out , the company sold its contract to a company called Moreland Finanacial. They said I missed the timeframe prior to the end of the contract and I would have to pay another year.
The threats then began. . They added another year onto their bill, claiming I had still not given proper notice. Guardian claims no responsibility and now I have been turned over to a collection agency for $1200 and offered to settle for $800!! My fight has just begun. If you have same experience ,please post.
