I got the same spiel about the $199.00 for the $2000.00 M/C and $2500.00 Visa from those evil bastards. The guy who originally called said his name was George and the guy who said he was from the security dept. said his name was Kevin Anderson.

George told me initially that the $199.00 would be charged to the card and that my account info was just to verify all my info. I had given him. Then he gave me a PIN number.

Then when Kevin called back to double check my info. he told me that the money would come out of my account so I told him I didn't want to do it and to cancel it. He said that George would call me back in a few minutes.

Needless to say, I never got a call. I then was able to get through to customer service ONE time after calling about 153 times and leaving several messages on the answering service.

When I did get through, (on last Saturday morning) I spoke to someone who said her name was Ann and was a real b***h. She was rude and would not give me the answers I wanted about cancelling this transaction or the status of it.

She kept giving me excuses about it not being in the computer and that it would be a few days before it all got in the system.

I spent FIVE days trying to get through to customer service and all I got was busy signals and that stupid answering service.

I left at least sixteen messages to get someone to call me, and of course they never did. I tried for an hour and a half this morning to get thru starting at just after 8:00 a.m. When I got a busy signal I just disconnected and hit re-dial continuously for that hour and a half trying to get through.

That is when I looked up the area code and found out it was in Canada. I could never find anything on Guardian Bank til I found out I needed to look in Canada instead of New York like those guys told me.

I found this site and thank God I did! My husband and I lost our business after Sept. 11, 2001, actually we lost everything. We are just now beginning to get caught up. When I got this call I thought maybe I could use this to help get caught up more since my husband has developed heart problems recently.

I did not feel comfortable with any of this and the money was supposed to come out of my account on Monday, so I decided that if I did not get an answer today, I would go to the bank tomorrow and stop the transaction.

That was when I found this site and knew I had to go close my account before they could hit it. I am going to alert the media in our area and also the Attorney General's office, Consumer Affairs Division first thing Monday morning.

I am so grateful that I found this site in time and wish everyone else had. I just don't know what I would have done otherwise. THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!!

I am also going to give the name of this site to the media and the AG's office so they can maybe coordinate with other states and get these bastards.

I feel like such a fool, but thanks to you guys at least I'm not a poorer fool.
